After Hume scores again!

Tuesday, 9 October 2007

With new manager Gary Megson leicester city secured their second consecutive win against the home team Sheffield Wednesday 2 - 0. both the goals were sored in the first 14 minutes from the two corners. The first goal was scored by Gareth McAuley in the seventh minuet or the match and the seccond was scored by Ekpo Sodje one of the sheffield wednesday defenders.

This has now put Leicester 18th in the table after playing nine games and gaining 11 points. Next in the coca cola champianship we are going to be playing scunthop which I think we will win 2 - 1. please comment on your prediction of the score.

Yesterday Leicester played Aston viler at the viler stadium.

it was an amazing game and Leicester were constantly the better team thought out the match even with viler having 15 corners. I was amazed at half time when it was still 0-0 as i had earlier said that if it was 0-0 at half time i would attempt a back flip which i didn't manage.

after a tense match with many chances for each team Leicester finally came out on top with a goal from Matty Fryat in the 76 minute making the final score 1-0 to Lester which has given us a place in the forth round of the Carling cup.

my greatest sporting moment.

Leicester city are not the best team in the world but they are certainly the most talked about this season. I am going to explain why in this blog.

Leicester city has grabbed the respect of all of England on Tuesday during the Nottingham Forest match. After the match was previously called off when Leicester player (Clive Clark) had a heart attack in the changing room at half time Nottingham where winning 1-0. On Tuesday at the start of the match When kick-off was taken the ball was passed to the notts goalkeeper who walked up the pitch with the ball past all the Leicester players who just stood and watched and then shook hands with the Leicester goal keeper before scoring.
This Goal got a massive cheer not just from the Nottingham fans but also the Leicester fans.
Not only was this moment put on the East Midlands news but also it was on the national news on BBC 1.
I believe that this moment will have a big impact on football and will stay with us forever.

This is what football is all about in my eyes Leicester is the best team in the world not for their skills but for their sportsmanship.

LcFc

I am Ben Johnson and i am 16 years old. i am currently doing an IT corse at loughborough college. I enjoy watching football as much as i like playing it.

At the moment i am currently training my 5-a-side team to be entered into the adults saturday league next season.

Leicester city is my favourite football team. They arn't very good but they are getting better. Maybe if we can keep a manager for a bit longer we can become a better team and go up a devision.

My favourite Leicester player is Ian Hume as he lives near me and I feel he is the best player and holds the rest of the team together.
